How to track a TCS parcel
- Find the consignment number in your SMS, email or seller message.
- Open the official TCS site, www.tcsexpress.com.
- Go to the tracking page and enter the number.
- Read the latest status and city.
- If it looks stuck, send the number and your order number to the seller.
Live TCS status comes only from TCS. WebRank does not copy it into your store.
For sellers: keep the TCS number on the order
Open the order in WebRank admin and use the ship action. Pick TCS from the courier list and type the number from your TCS slip. Save.
- The order gets the courier name and the tracking number.
- If the order was new, confirmed or packing, it moves to Shipped.
- The change is written to the order history.
- You can pick TCS for many selected orders at once from the bulk courier action.
| Where | What shows |
|---|---|
| Admin order | Courier TCS and your number |
| Store track page | Courier, tracking number and status steps |
| Couriers report | Shipped, delivered and returned parcels for TCS |
What the shopper sees
The store has a track page at /track. The shopper enters the order number and the phone number used at checkout. They see the status steps, the courier and the tracking number.
- Logged-in customers can also open it from their order list.
- Wrong number and phone give a plain not-found message.
- Lookups are limited per visitor to stop guessing.
The shopper then copies the number into the TCS site for live movement.
Limits you should know
- WebRank does not book TCS parcels. Booking through an API works for PostEx only today.
- TCS is listed in connection settings, but the TCS adapter is not live. Add the number by hand.
- The store does not fetch live TCS scan updates.
- If you leave the number blank, WebRank makes a placeholder reference that starts with TCS. It is not a real TCS number. Type the real one.
Check the courier report once a month. It shows how TCS compares with your other couriers on delivered and returned parcels.
